June 12, 2023 (MLN): The local bourse on Monday witnessed a lackluster session as investors were waiting for the decision of today's monetary policy committee meeting.
Accordingly, the benchmark KSE-100 Index settled the trading session at 41,782.92 showing a decrease of 121.28 points.
The index traded in a range of 313.83 points showing an intraday high of 42,029.14 and a low of 41,715.31.
The total Volume of the KSE100 Index was 83.269 million shares.
Of the companies in KSE100 30 closed up, 59 closed down, 5 were unchanged while 6 remained untraded.
KSE100 Index was let down by Commercial Banks with 94.82, Oil & Gas Exploration Companies with 76.29, Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. with 25.63, Textile Composite with 24.48 and Fertilizer with 23.58 points.
Companies dragging the index lower were HBL with 53.25, OGDC with 42.5, PPL with 27.71, DAWH with 23.61 and TRG with 23.01 points.
KSE100 index was supported by Automobile Assembler with 57.49, Cement with 53.04, Food & Personal Care Products with 42.4, Chemical with 32.61 and Glass & Ceramics with 10.44 points.
Companies adding points to the index were MTL with 60.71, LUCK with 55.38, COLG with 48.56, NESTLE with 27.97 and SYS with 17.35 points.
In the broader market, the All-Share index closed at 28,334.06 with a net gain of 80.37 points.
Total market volume was 179.118 million shares with traded value being recorded at 5.54 billion.
There was 96,291 trades reported in 308 companies with 106 closing up, 180 closing down and 22 remaining unchanged.
