Govt borrows Rs727bn debt in a week
The government of Pakistan has acquired an additional debt of Rs726.63 billion during the week ended October 31, 2025, which brings its total net retirement for ongoing fiscal year 2026 to Rs1.07 trillion, according to the central bank's weekly estimates.

Pakistan pays debt servicing $1.35bn in FY25
The federal government has paid $1.35 billion in interest on its external debt during the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025, marking a significant 10% decrease from the $1.51bn paid in the previous year, according to State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) data released today.
