July 02, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Wednesday's trading session at 130,344.03, marking a sharp gain of 2,144.61 points or 1.67%, and closing at its highest-ever level.

The index maintained positive momentum throughout the day, hitting an intraday high of 130,545.94 (+2,346.52) and a low of 128,616.11 (+416.69) points.

A robust trading volume was recorded, with 345.79 million shares exchanged on the KSE-100 Index.

The record-breaking performance of the Pakistan Stock Exchange is being driven by a confluence of positive economic developments and growing investor confidence.

The recent surge in the KSE-100 Index, which crossed the 130,000 mark for the first time, reflects strong bullish sentiment fueled by macroeconomic stability and supportive policy measures.

A drop in CPI-based inflation to 3.2% in June, a 9.4% narrowing of the trade deficit, and declining interest rates have collectively boosted domestic investor participation—signaling early signs of economic recovery.

Fresh foreign inflows, a stable currency, and clarity following the FY2025–26 budget have added further momentum. Strong corporate earnings, attractive valuations, and the government's pro-market stance are also drawing investor interest.

These combined factors are fueling a bullish rally, pushing the KSE-100 Index to record highs and positioning the PSX as a compelling investment destination.
