Petrol price cut by Rs1.65, HSD by Rs0.88 per litre
The Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division) has revised the ex-depot prices of petroleum products, reducing the price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) by Rs0.88 per litre and Motor Spirit (petrol) by Rs1.65 per litre, effective from September 19, 2026 to September 21, 2026.

Overseas investors repatriate $296m in August 2026
Foreign investors' repatriation of profit and dividend stood at $296.2m in August 2026, rising 13.31% on a month-on-month (MoM) basis compared with $261.4m in July 2026, but down 15.07% on a year-on-year (YoY) basis against $348.7m repatriated in the same month last year, the latest data issued by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) revealed.

OMO Result: SBP injects Rs2.6tr
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) conducted a reverse repo and Shariah Compliant Modarabah based Open Market Operation (OMO) today, in which it cumulatively injected a total of Rs2.64 trillion into the market of which Rs2.31tr were injected through reverse repo OMO.

Pakistan cotton arrivals surge 19% to 2.4m bales by Sept 15
Cotton arrivals at ginning factories across Pakistan rose 19.17% to 2,388,682 bales as of Sept. 15, compared with 2,004,384 bales recorded during the corresponding period last year, according to data released by the Pakistan Cotton Ginners’ Association (PCGA).
