Govt decides to hire consultant external debt

November 19, 2024 (MLN): The Finance Division has decided to hire ‘consultant external debt’ to carry out external debt portfolio management in terms of risk analysis, forecasting and data consolidation and analyse foreign currency exposure of external debt.

The role of the consultant will also include developing debt capital markets and diversifying instrument and investor base.

Further, the consultant would be required to liaise with the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Economic Affairs Division (EAD), Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Central Directorate of National Savings (CDNS), and other relevant offices on matters related to debt management.
