Sazgar's four-wheel vehicle sales surge over 3 times in August

September 05, 2024 (MLN): Sazgar Engineering Works Limited (PSX: SAZEW) witnessed a substantial rise of 219.8% YoY in the sale of four-wheel off-road and passenger vehicles in August 2024, with 953 units sold compared to the topline of 298 vehicles in the same month last year, company’s filing on PSX revealed today.

Concerning production, the company made 941 units of cars in August, compared to 309 units produced during August 2023, reflecting a massive increase of 204.53% YoY.

The monthly metrics comparison indicates a 15.52% MoM increase in sales compared to 825 units sold in July 2024.

Similarly, production also increased by 6.21% in August 2024 as in the previous month SAZEW was able to manufacture 886 units.

In addition to the four-wheelers, the company sold 1643 auto rickshaws, 50.87% YoY higher than the topline of 1089 units recorded in the same period last year.

The production of the three-wheelers clocked in at 2023 units, up by 51.99% YoY against the 1331 units produced in August 2023.

Comparison on a monthly basis shows that the sale of three-wheelers increased by 1.17% MoM, while production was recorded at 12.7% MoM higher.
