July 29, 2022 (MLN): Range bound session witnessed on the trading floors today due to lack of fresh triggers and uncertain political and economic conditions.

As a result, the benchmark KSE100 index ended the trading session on Friday with a 126.28 point or 0.31 percent decline to close at 40,150.36.

The Index traded in a range of 394.17 points or 0.98 percent of previous close, showing an intraday high of 40,421.24 and a low of 40,027.07.

Of the 87 traded companies in the KSE100 Index 30 closed up 54 closed down, while 3 remained unchanged. Total volume traded for the index was 93.02 million shares.

Sector wise, the index was let down by Fertilizer with 69 points, Cement with 36 points, Chemical with 27 points, Oil & Gas Exploration Companies with 25 points and Automobile Parts & Accessories with 19 points.

The most points taken off the index was by FFC which stripped the index of 25 points followed by EFERT with 21 points, BAHL with 19 points, ENGRO with 19 points and THALL with 19 points.

Sectors propping up the index were Technology & Communication with 68 points, Paper & Board with 8 points, Food & Personal Care Products with 7 points, Automobile Assembler with 4 points and Insurance with 3 points.

The most points added to the index was by TRG which contributed 70 points followed by BAFL with 36 points, INDU with 15 points, FABL with 9 points and PKGS with 8 points.

All Share Volume decreased by 81.00 Million to 170.27 Million Shares. Market Cap decreased by Rs.18.00 Billion.

Total companies traded were 312 compared to 344 from the previous session. Of the scrips traded 108 closed up, 179 closed down while 25 remained unchanged.

Total trades decreased by 32,505 to 95,754.

Value Traded decreased by 3.04 Billion to Rs.6.31 Billion
