On Monday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,365.
The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 7.030 billion and the number of lots traded was 11,294.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 2.343 billion, followed by currencies through COTS (PKR 1.188 billion), WTI crude oil (PKR 1.180 billion), DJ (PKR 911.343 million), platinum (PKR 512.241 million), silver (PKR 460.715 million), NSDQ100 (PKR 200.522 million), natural gas (PKR 114.672 million), Brent crude oil (PKR 53.144 million), SP500 (PKR 50.204 million) and copper (PKR 14.196 million). In agricultural commodities, 14 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 6.753 million were traded.
