PKR strengthens by 2 paisa against greenback

October 02, 2019 (MLN): Pakistani rupee (PKR) closed today's trading session relatively unchanged against the USD with the rate remaing stable at PKR 156.35
The rupee traded within a very narrow range of 6 paisa per USD showing an intraday high bid of 156.37 and an intraday Low offer of 156.35.
Within the Open Market, PKR was traded at 155.70/156.70 per USD.
Meanwhile, the currency gained 56 paisa against the Pound Sterling as the day's closing quote stood at PKR 191.33 per GBP, while the previous session closed at PKR 191.89 per GBP.
On the other hand, PKR's value weakened by 27 paisa against EUR which closed at PKR 170.64 at the interbank today.
On another note, within the money market, the overnight repo rate towards close of the session was 13.15/13.25 percent, whereas the 1 week rate was 13.20/13.30 percent.
