NEPRA renews Altern Energy's generation license until June 2031

April 04, 2024 (MLN): The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has renewed the Generation License of Altern Energy Limited (PSX: ALTN), extending it until June 05, 2031, company's filing on PSX revealed today.

To recall, ALTN's generation license expired on September 21, 2021, which the company received from the authority back on September 22, 2004.

It is crucial to note that the company also has a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA' with its sole customer, Central Power Purchasing Agency (Guarantee) Limited (CPPA-G) for thirty years.

Additionally, ALTN holds direct and indirect investments in other companies engaged in the power sector.
