Govt raises Rs360.29bn from T-bills

December 29, 2022 (MLN): The government on Wednesday raised Rs360.29 billion from the auction of treasury bills against a target of Rs650bn, result data published by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) showed.

To note, On December 14, 2022 T-Bills Auction the government raised Rs1,666 billion against a target of Rs1,350bn.

The SBP received bids worth Rs661.53bn, of which Rs403.25bn were for three-month papers, Rs141.03bn for six-month, and Rs117.25bn for 12-month papers.

Against this, the government accepted bids worth Rs298.89bn in three-month, Rs1bn in six-month, and Rs2.65bn in 12-month papers.

The cut-off yields remained unchanged for three-month papers at 16.99% while decreasing by 7bps to 16.82% for six-month papers.

On the other hand, the cut-off yields for 12-month papers increased by 5bps to 16.85%.
