EPCL enters agreement with SSGC for gas supply till February 29

December 07, 2023 (MLN): Engro Polymer & Chemicals Limited (PSX: EPCL) has entered into an interim agreement with Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (PSX: SSGCL) for the supply of gas till February 29, 2024, the company informed through a notice sent to the local bourse today.

This gas will be used by EPCL on an “as and when” available basis, it said.

EPCL’s principal activity is to manufacture, market and sell Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC), Vinyl Chloride Monomer (VCM), Caustic soda, and other related chemicals.

The company is also engaged in the supply of surplus power generated from its power plants to Engro Fertilizers Limited.

Meanwhile, SSGCL’s main activity is the transmission and distribution of natural gas in Sindh and Baluchistan. The company is also engaged in certain activities related to the gas business including the manufacturing and sale of gas meters and construction contracts for laying of pipelines.
