PSX Closing Bell: The Tide Turns Green

September 11, 2026 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Friday's trading session at 170,511.85, showing an increase of 1,646.81 points or 0.98%.

The index traded in a range of 4,623.62 points showing an intraday high of 170,764.79 (+1,899.75) and a low of 166,141.17 (-2,723.87) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 278.75 million shares.

Of the 100 index companies 67 closed up, 32 closed down, while 1 were unchanged.

Top gainers during the day were AICL (+6.34%), PABC (+5.86%), KTML (+4.86%), CNERGY (+4.53%), and SRVI (+4.28%).

On the other hand, top losers were IBFL (-6.32%), KOHC (-2.34%), INIL (-2.03%), KAPCO (-1.78%), and PGLC (-1.69%).

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that propped up the index were MEBL (+285.41pts), FFC (+253.44pts), LUCK (+134.81pts), PPL (+134.38pts), and OGDC (+112.33pts).

Meanwhile, companies that dragged the index lower were HBL (-52.85pts), POL (-48.03pts), BAHL (-19.51pts), KOHC (-17.60pts), and CHCC (-13.44pts).

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was supported by Fertilizer (+375.72pts), Commercial Banks (+362.06pts), Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (+236.06pts), Cement (+177.36pts), and Leather & Tanneries (+61.90pts).

While the index was let down by Engineering (-14.39pts), Synthetic & Rayon (-9.18pts), Chemical (-4.60pts), Miscellaneous (-2.92pts), and Glass & Ceramics (-1.31pts).

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 103,203.79 with a net gain of 908.75 points or 0.89%.

Total market volume was 687.47 million shares compared to 628.67m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs33.70 billion showing an increase of Rs6.69bn.

There were 424,057 trades reported in 500 companies with 248 closing up, 210 closing down, and 42 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has lost 9,790 points or 5.43% during the fiscal year, whereas it has decreased 3,542 points or 2.04% so far this calendar year.
