DGKC seeks govt’s approval for plant expansion

November 15, 2019 (MLN): The Government of Punjab on Friday informed that D.G Khan Cement Company has applied for expanding its existing cement plant, which is located at Mauza Khofli Sattai, D.G. Khan.

According to a report by Bloomberg, the application was filed by the company after taking into account the plans of the Prime Minister to boost the construction sector of the country.

The approval by the government would be granted after considering the demand and economic situation of the country, which could take around one year.

If the approval is granted, D.G. Khan Cement would overthrow Bestway Cement in becoming the largest cement producer of Pakistan.
