White Oil Pipeline to be completed by 1st quarter of 2019: MD Shell

Managing Director Shell Pakistan Limited Jawwad Cheema has said that the new White Oil Pipeline will be completed by the first quarter of 2019, which will help strengthen the company’s supply chain process.

In a statement, he said that on its completion, the pipeline will have a capacity of 12 million tons of transporting oil from the port city Karachi to Machike; in district Sheikhupura a hub of oil depots in central Punjab.

Jawwad Cheema said that the project is the need of the hour for the country’s growing oil demands besides improving the safety standards of oil supply chain

He said that the company has decided to make significant investments of 5.5 billion rupees in oil sector in Pakistan besides this project.

He said that the government of Pakistan is evolving a policy for oil city in Gwadar and once the government will announce the policy, the private sector will come there to invest.
