SBP reserves rise $1.2bn to $18.33bn

September 10, 2026 (MLN): The foreign exchange reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) increased by $1.21 billion or 7.07% WoW to $18.33 billion during the week ended on September 04, 2026, data released by State Bank of Pakistan showed on Thursday.

Similarly, the country's total reserves increased by $1.19bn or 5.27% WoW to $23.72bn.

The reserves held by commercial banks fell by $22.5m or 0.42% WoW to $5.39bn.

Meanwhile, the current calendar year has seen an increase of $2.27bn or 14.04%.
