Uptick in Gold prices continues

May 24, 2021(MLN): The price of gold inched up by Rs100 on Monday in the domestic bullion market, as the price of 24 karat gold closed at Rs109,400 per tola against the price of Rs109,300 per tola reported in the previous session.

According to the data provided by the All Sindh Saraf Jewellers Association, the price of 10-gram of 24k gold also increased by Rs86 and was sold for Rs93,793 at the closing of trade as opposed to Rs93,707 reported previously.

Unlike gold, silver rates witnessed no change and valued at Rs1,420 per tola. The price of 10 grams of silver also remained flat at Rs1,217.42.

In the international market, gold remained steady as the price of gold observed a slight uptick of $3 and traded at $1,882per ounce against $1,879 per ounce recorded in the last session, while silver was valued at $27.71 an ounce.
