January 14, 2025 (MLN): Shell Pakistan Limited (PSX: SHEL) has changed its name to "Wafi Energy Pakistan Limited" with effect from January 13, 2025.

The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has issued a Certificate of Incorporation for a name change, the company's filing on PSX revealed today.

The acquisition by Wafi Energy Holding Limited of 187.86 million ordinary shares, representing approximately 87.78% of the total issued share capital of the company, was completed.

This acquisition was made through the Share Purchase Agreement (SPA) dated 31 October 2023.

Additionally, a Mandatory Tender Offer was made to the remaining shareholders of the company.
