PSX inducts Faysal Bank for GoP Ijarah Sukuk trading

March 21, 2025 (MLN): The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has inducted Faysal Bank Limited (FABL) as a trading participant for proprietary trading of Government of Pakistan (GoP) Ijarah Sukuk (GIS), following approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), according to a statement issued by the bourse.

This induction comes after SECP’s approval under Regulation 6.1(q) of the PSX Rulebook, allowing Commercial Banks and Mutual Funds who are Non-Broker Debt Market Clearing Members (DMCMs) of the National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL) to participate in proprietary trading of GIS.

With the completion of documentary, operational, and technical requirements, Faysal Bank Limited is now eligible to trade in GIS instruments issued through primary market auctions at PSX.

However, the trading participant will not be allowed to trade in other fixed-income securities within the Bills and Bonds (BnB) market, including Corporate Debt Securities and Government Debt Securities.
