SCO Foreign Ministers meet in Kyrgyzstan to discuss regional agenda

July 24, 2026 (MLN): The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) Meeting is underway in Kyrgyzstan, with the participation of the foreign ministers of the member states.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar joined the regional leaders at the meeting and was welcomed by Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Zheenbek Kulubaev upon his arrival at the venue, according to APP.

The participating foreign ministers also gathered for the traditional family photograph ahead of the meeting.

Earlier on Thursday, the SCO foreign ministers attended an informal dinner, where they exchanged views and discussed the agenda of the meeting.

Leading Pakistan's delegation at the invitation of the Kyrgyz foreign minister, Dar is attending the meeting alongside the foreign ministers of China, Belarus, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

The SCO Council of Foreign Ministers is the organization's third-highest forum, focusing on international relations and the foreign and security policies of the SCO.
