March 03, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Monday's trading session at 111,986.88, showing a decrease of 1,264.78 points or 1.12%.

The index traded in a range of 1,762.69 points showing an intraday high of 113,591.83 (+340.17) and a low of 111,829.14 (-1,422.52) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 108.00 million shares.

Of the 100 index companies 26 closed up, 69 closed down, 4 were unchanged, while 1 remained untraded.

Top losers during the day were ENGROH (-6.98%), AIRLINK (-6.85%), SEARL (-3.77%), MEHT (-3.76%), and WAFI (-3.50%).

On the other hand, top gainers were PKGS (+3.76%), AGP (+2.32%), NATF (+1.77%), HINOON (+1.75%), and FHAM (+1.25%).

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that dragged the index lower were ENGROH (-424.00pts), UBL (-136.93pts), MCB (-61.57pts), MTL (-55.12pts), and PPL (-52.64pts).

Meanwhile, companies that added points to the index were EFERT (+23.28pts), HUBC (+18.37pts), PKGS (+17.97pts), MEBL (+15.19pts), and AGP (+12.03pts).

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was let down by Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (-431.51pts), Commercial Banks (-277.02pts), Technology & Communication (-110.76pts), Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (-110.65pts), and Cement (-96.69pts).

While the index was supported by Paper, Board & Packaging (+17.97pts), Leather & Tanneries (+6.62pts), Automobile Parts & Accessories (+4.38pts), Insurance (+2.19pts), and Property (+1.93pts).

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 69,612.74 with a net loss of 649.91 points or 0.92%.

Total market volume was 208.88 million shares compared to 472.08m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs11.88 billion showing a decrease of Rs10.90bn.

There were 152,764 trades reported in 437 companies with 85 closing up, 287 closing down, and 65 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 33,542 points or 42.76% during the fiscal year, whereas it has decreased 3,140 points or 2.73% so far this calendar year.
