April 25, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Friday's trading session at 115,469.34, showing an increase of 449.53 points or 0.39%.

The index traded in a range of 2,128.28 points showing an intraday high of 115,844.88 (+825.07) and a low of 113,716.60 (-1,303.21) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 213.62 million shares.

Of the 100 index companies 44 closed up, 52 closed down, 3 were unchanged, while 1 remained untraded.

Top gainers during the day were HBL (+6.92%), NBP (+5.45%), SAZEW (+4.28%), MLCF (+4.12%), and PABC (+3.24%).

On the other hand, top losers were GLAXO (-7.85%), JDWS (-6.07%), SCBPL (-3.61%), PKGP (-3.12%), and AVN (-2.88%).

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that propped up the index were HBL (+185.54pts), FFC (+125.55pts), MEBL (+95.03pts), MCB (+87.30pts), and NBP (+76.44pts).

Meanwhile, companies that dragged the index lower were MARI (-74.66pts), GLAXO (-73.43pts), UBL (-54.30pts), PPL (-51.94pts), and PSO (-48.58pts).

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was supported by Commercial Banks (+401.52pts), Fertilizer (+131.72pts), Cement (+104.80pts), Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (+48.07pts), and Automobile Assembler (+35.45pts).

While the index was let down by Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (-124.12pts), Pharmaceuticals (-90.73pts), Oil & Gas Marketing Companies (-41.15pts), Refinery (-24.68pts), and Sugar & Allied Industries (-14.55pts).

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 72,114.83 with a net loss of 9.08 points or 0.01%.

Total market volume was 471.07 million shares compared to 506.70m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs27.31 billion showing an increase of Rs2.82bn.

There were 294,494 trades reported in 441 companies with 182 closing up, 204 closing down, and 55 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 37,024 points or 47.20% during the fiscal year, whereas it has increased 342 points or 0.30% so far this calendar year.
