March 14, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Friday's trading session at 115,536.16, showing an increase of 441.93 points or 0.38%.

The index remained positive throughout the day showing an intraday high of 115,730.98 (+636.75) and a low of 115,162.69 (+68.46) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 205.48 million shares.

Of the 100 index companies 53 closed up, 41 closed down, 5 were unchanged, while 1 remained untraded.

Top gainers during the day were PIBTL (+5.31%), MARI (+4.85%), MUREB (+2.74%), PTC (+2.70%), and NML (+2.61%).

On the other hand, top losers were BOP (-2.68%), HGFA (-2.34%), SCBPL (-2.30%), FHAM (-2.20%), and AKBL (-1.95%).

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that propped up the index were MARI (+221.43pts), FFC (+114.29pts), EFERT (+44.66pts), SYS (+16.98pts), and AIRLINK (+14.74pts).

Meanwhile, companies that dragged the index lower were PPL (-33.84pts), PSO (-26.47pts), LUCK (-20.87pts), BOP (-16.36pts), and BAHL (-13.82pts).

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was supported by Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (+195.75pts), Fertilizer (+161.23pts), Technology & Communication (+40.33pts), Textile Composite (+19.62pts), and Pharmaceuticals (+15.44pts).

While the index was let down by Oil & Gas Marketing Companies (-32.60pts), Paper, Board & Packaging (-8.11pts), Cement (-5.08pts), Automobile Parts & Accessories (-2.20pts), and Leather & Tanneries (-2.11pts).

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 71,685.25 with a net gain of 306.50 points or 0.43%.

Total market volume was 360.46 million shares compared to 382.79m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs21.04 billion showing a decrease of Rs4.37bn.

There were 210,152 trades reported in 435 companies with 195 closing up, 169 closing down, and 71 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 37,091 points or 47.28% during the fiscal year, whereas it has increased 409 points or 0.36% so far this calendar year.
