PPL: Profitability reaches to Rs26.33bn in 1QFY23

October 27, 2022 (MLN): Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) has announced results for 1QFY23 wherein the company’s bottom line expanded by 56.17% YoY to Rs26.33 billion in the 1QCFY23 as compared to Rs16.86bn in the same period last year (SPLY).

Accordingly, the company’s earnings per share clocked in at Rs9.68 against Rs6.20 in SPLY.

The financial statement sent to PSX further revealed that the topline of the company registered a significant increase of 67.03%YoY to Rs72.82bn compared to Rs43.60bn in SPLY.

PPL’s gross margin inched up to 66.79% YoY during 1QFY23 from 61.31% YoY in 1QFY22.

The finance cost of the company jumped by 19.12% YoY to Rs353 million during this period.

Furthermore, profit before taxation increased by 96.78% YoY to Rs45.59bn against Rs23.17bn in SPLY, taxation increased by 205.37% in 1QFY23 as compared to SPLY.
