PMEX Commodity index up by 21pts to close at 3,354-level

March 20, 2020: On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index gained only 21 points and closed at 3,354. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 10.652 billion and the number of lots traded was 14,661.

The major business was contributed by Currencies through COTS amounting to PKR 4.454 billion, followed by Gold (PKR 2.365 billion), DJ (PKR 1.501 billion), Crude Oil (PKR 841.419 million), NSDQ100 (PKR 567.788 million), Platinum (PKR 283.133 million), Brent Crude Oil (PKR 200.879 million), SP500 (PKR 195.903 million), Silver (PKR 174.566 million), Copper (PKR 46.123 million) and Natural Gas (PKR 21.620 million).

In agriculture commodities, 2 lots of Soybean amounting to PKR 13.457 million, 3 lots of Wheat amounting to PKR 12.668 million, 13 lots of Cotton amounting to PKR 5.627 million and 2 lots of Corn amounting to PKR 5.473 million were traded.
