PMEX Commodity Index gains marginally to 3,734-level

May 14, 2020: On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,734-level with marginal gains of only 3 points. The traded value of Metals, Energy, and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 6.386 billion and the number of lots traded was 11,075.
The major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 2.723 billion, followed by NSDQ 100 (PKR 1.309 billion), Currencies through COTS (PKR 720.962 million), Silver (PKR 684.655 million), Crude Oil (PKR 348.945 million), SP500 (PKR 229.098 million), DJ (PKR 157.409 million), Natural Gas (PKR 130.946 million), Platinum (PKR 76.554 million) and Copper (PKR 4.932 million).
In agriculture commodities, 2 lots of Wheat amounting to PKR 8.099 million, one lot of Soybean amounting to PKR 6.747 million, 10 lots of Cotton amounting to PKR 4.636 million, and one lot of Corn amounting to PKR 2.576 million were traded.
