PMEX Commodity Index falls by 184 points to settle at 3,586 level

March 17, 2020: On Monday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index lost 184 points to close at 3,586.

The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 12.931 billion and the number of lots traded was 17,412. The major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 6.979 billion, followed by DJ (PKR 1.916 billion), Platinum (PKR 1.720 billion), Silver (PKR 532.681 million), Crude Oil (PKR 494.186 million), Currencies through COTS (PKR 487.228 million), NSDQ100 (PKR 364.983 million), Copper (PKR 297.514 million), SP500 (PKR 53.302 million), Brent Crude Oil (PKR 42.412 million), Palladium (PKR 23.675 million) and Natural Gas (PKR 19.654 million).

In agriculture commodities, 5 lots of Soybean amounting to PKR 33.264 million, 6 lots of Cotton amounting to PKR 15.459 million, 4 lots of Corn amounting to PKR 11.506 million and 2 lots of Wheat amounting to PKR 8.019 million were traded.
