PMEX Commodity index down by 12 pts to close at 3,342-level

March 23, 2020: On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index inched lower by 12 points and closed at 3,342-level. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 8.698 billion and the number of lots traded was 16,696.
The major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 2.673 billion, followed by Currencies through COTS (PKR 1.664 billion), Crude Oil (PKR 1.045 billion), NSDQ 100 (PKR 989.677 million), DJ (PKR 711.745 million), Platinum (PKR 625,739 million), Brent Crude Oil (PKR 331.882 million), Silver (PKR 321.698 million), SP500 (PKR 220.423 million), Natural Gas (PKR 69.311 million), Copper (PKR 41.959 million) and Japan Equity (PKR 2.781 million).
In agriculture commodities one lots of Corn amounting to PKR 5.577 million, 10 lots of Cotton amounting to PKR 4.372 million and one lot of Wheat amounting to PKR 4.260 million were traded.
