PMEX Commodity Index closes 17 points lower

April 15, 2020: Following the downward pattern of trading, PMEX Commodity Index inched lower by another 17 points on Tuesday and closed at 3,685-level. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 5.682 billion and the number of lots traded was 12,552.

The major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 3.524 billion, followed by NSDQ 100 (PKR 507.911 million), Crude Oil (PKR 491.044 million), Silver (PKR 422.129 million), Currencies through COTS (PKR 340.695 million), DJ (PKR 99.049 million), SP500 (PKR 79.437 million), Platinum (PKR 74.514 million), Japan Equity (PKR 58.927 million), Natural Gas (PKR 44.226 million) and Copper (PKR 39.720million).

In agriculture commodities, one lot of Corn amounting to PKR 2.737 million was traded.
