Packages' subsidiary BSPL resumes plant operations

February 14, 2022 (MLN): Following the fire incident on February 9, 2022, Bulleh Shah Packaging (Private) Limited (BSPL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Packages Limited (PKGS) has resumed the plant operation and deliveries to its customers, the company filing on PSX showed on Monday.

The fire incident was occurred at the warehouse of BSPL, situated in Kasur at around 06:30 PM on February 9, 2022.

Later, PKGS issued a notice and informed that the fire was brought under control using the in-house firefighting system and with the help of local administration.

The notice further stated that the cause of the accident and the extent of damage is under investigation. BSPL is also in contact with the insurance company and taking appropriate steps to ensure an early start of the repair works.

There was no damage to key critical equipment and BSPL has contingency plans in place for continued supplies to its customers.
