Overseas Pakistani remit USD 11,394.91 Million during July-December FY20

Jan 11, 2020 (MLN): Overseas Pakistanis remitted USD 2.1 billion in the month of December 2019 compared to USD 1.82 billion in November 2019 showing an increase of USD 277.56 million over the previous month.

According to data released by the State Bank of Pakistan the remittances increased by USD 348.45 million compared to December 2018.

The total amount remitted during July-December FY20 was USD 11.3949 billion compared to USD 11.0308 billion from the corresponding period of FY19 which showed an increase of USD 364.14 million or 3.3 percent.

Saudi Arabia was the largest source of remittances having contributed USD 472.94 million followed by UAE with USD 427.56 million and USA providing USD 357.45 million.
