One-on-One meeting b/w FM Qureshi, Afghan President underway

December 24, 2018 (MLN): A One-on-One meeting between Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Afghan President Ashraf Ghani is underway at the Presidential Palace in Kabul.

The Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi earlier held a meeting with his Afghan counterpart Salahuddin Rabbani.

During the talks, also attended by their respective delegations, they focused on overall regional situation and improvement in bilateral ties.

Both Foreign Ministers agreed to promote two way political, trade and cultural relations.

Afghan Foreign Minister apprised Shah Mehmood Qureshi of the positive developments in Afghan peace process whereas Shah Mehmood Qureshi underscored the importance to increase contacts for durable peace and stability in the region.

He said aim of his visit is to take the friendly countries into confidence on recent developments in the region.
