OGRA increases LPG price by Rs5 per kg

May 03, 2023 (MLN): The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has increased Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) price by Rs5 per Kg for the month of May 2023.

Hence, the new price of LPG now stands at Rs233.89 per kg. As a result, the 11.8 kg domestic cylinder will cost around Rs2,759.89 compared to Rs2702.2 in April 2023.

At the same time, the price of commercial cylinders of 45.4kg has jumped by Rs222 to Rs10,619 for May compared to Rs10,397 in the previous month.

On the other hand, the federal government on Sunday decided to keep the petrol price unchanged at Rs282 per litre for the next fortnightly, according to the announcement made by the Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Ishaq Dar. 

However, the prices of Light-Diesel Oil (LDO) and Kerosene have been slashed by Rs10 while the price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) oil has dropped by Rs5 per litre.
