NRL be the part of govt established Working Group to address FO crisis

December 24, 2019 (MLN): National Refinery Limited (NRL) has submitted the information to PSX that the management of the company along with entire refining industry in Pakistan has taken up the matter of Furnace Oil crisis, with the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division).

In line with the recent articles published in print media on the issue of Furnace Oil crisis being faced by the local refineries, the Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Petroleum, Nadeem Babar, has decided to make a Working Group comprising of Government Officials and Refineries Representatives.

The objective to make this Working Group is to address this issue and recommend remedial policy measures to ensure the sustainability of economically viable refining operations and making it feasible to undertake future upgradation projects.

It is hoped that the participation of all stakeholders would help to succeed in dealing with this crisis.
