Ministry of Planning, Development allocated Rs6bn for 7th population census

June 27, 2023 (MLN): Ministry of Planning and Development was allocated Rs6 billion technical supplementary grants (TSG) to conduct the 7th population and housing census, in the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet yesterday, chaired by Finance Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar.

There were other significant decisions as well regarding TSG for various Ministries/Divisions to address their current fiscal year (CFY) liabilities.

The Ministry of Climate Change received an allocation of Rs22.56 million TSG for Expenditure on Renewable Energy (ERE).

The Ministry of Housing and Works was granted Rs69.5m TSG for the construction of the Islamabad High Court building and Judges' residences.

The President's Secretariat received Rs60m TSG for expenses related to employees.

Moreover, the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs received Rs63.6m TSG.

The Ministry of Aviation obtained Rs222.037m TSG for Expenditure on Renewable Energy (ERE).

Similarly, the Ministry of Interior was granted Rs429.42m and Rs7.525bnTSG for employee-related expenses.

Meanwhile, the National Security Council received Rs12.30m TSG.

A loan of Rs300m was extended to the Pakistan Computerized Criminal Cases System (PCCC).

Furthermore, the Frontier Corps (FC) Headquarters KP North and FC Headquarters KP South received Rs1bn and Rs400m TSG, respectively, to settle pending liabilities for ration bills.

These decisions were made to address the financial obligations and requirements of the respective Ministries/Divisions.
