LSMI output increases by 1.19% YoY in August

October 16, 2020 (MNL): The overall output of the Large Scale Manufacturing Industries (LSMI) increased by 1.19% for August 2020 as compared to August 2019 and decreased by 6.78% if compared to July 2020. Month-wise trend of QIM from Aug, 2018 to Aug, 2020 is given in the following graph:-

The LSMI output increased by 3.66% for July-August 2020-21, as compared to July-August 2019-20.

The production in July-August 2020-21 as compared to July-August 2019-20 has increased in Textile, Food, Beverages & Tobacco, Coke & Petroleum Products, Pharmaceuticals, Non Metallic Mineral Products and Paper & Paperboard while it decreased in Automobiles, Iron & Steel Products, Electronics and Leather Products.
