Loads Limited reports Rs46mn profit in 1HFY25, reversing Rs364mn loss

February 20, 2025 (MLN): Loads Limited (PSX: LOADS) has posted a net profit of Rs46 million for 1HFY25, marking a significant turnaround from a net loss of Rs364mn in the corresponding period last year.
The company’s earnings per share (EPS) for the period stood at Rs0.61, a stark contrast to the loss per share of Rs0.91 recorded in 1HFY24.
The financial performance of LOADS was driven by a robust 65% increase in revenue, reaching Rs3 billion compared to Rs1.7bn in 1HFY24.
The company’s cost of revenue rose by 45.6% to Rs2.2bn, but a substantial improvement in gross profit, up by 209% to Rs630mn, helped boost overall profitability.
Operating profit surged 232% to Rs482mn, benefiting from higher sales volumes despite a 59% increase in administrative, selling, and general expenses, which amounted to Rs177mn.
Other income saw a decline of 25.7%, standing at Rs53mn, while financial charges dropped by 25.6% to Rs268.7mn.
This reduction in financial expenses contributed to the company’s return to profitability.
However, the tax burden increased by 9% to Rs167mn.
