KSE-100 gains over 570 points during intraday

October 13, 2023 (MLN): Owing to the positive sentiments, the benchmark KSE-100 index gained over 570 points or 1.17% [02:41 pm] to trade at 49,353.07 during Friday's second session.

Sectors propping up the Index were Commercial Banks with 146 points, Oil and Gas Exploration Companies with 119, Automobile Assemblers with 54, and pharmaceuticals with 43 points.

The most points added to the Index were by INDU, MRPL, MARI, ABOT, MTL, and HINOON.

This notable surge in buying activity is attributed to the improving rupee's value against the US dollar and upcoming corporate earnings wherein the market expects decent profits.

Meanwhile, yesterday's announcement by PSMC has also played a due role in boosting the buyers' sentiments today.
