IRSA releases 22,025 cusecs water

January 06, 2022: Indus River System Authority (IRSA) Thursday released 22,025 cusecs water from various rim stations with an inflow of 43,681 cusecs.

According to the data released by IRSA, water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1433.82 feet, which was 41.08 feet higher than its dead level 1,392 feet.

Water inflow and outflow in the dam was recorded as 18,100 and 5,000 cusecs respectively.

The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1,122.05 feet, which was 72.05 feet higher than its dead level of 1050 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water were recorded 12,556 and 4000 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa, and Sukkur was recorded as 11,378, 12,702, and 9147 cusecs respectively. Similarly, from the Kabul River a total of 5,200 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 7,825 cusecs released from the Chenab River at Marala.
