National Electric Power and Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) will be hearing a case regarding the periodical adjustments in the consumer end tariff of IESCO, FESCO and LESCO on July 31, 2018 at the NEPRA Tower.

The periodical adjustments pertain to the fiscal years 2016-17 and 2017-18.

The federal government, on March 22, 2018, had notified the general public of NEPRA’s determination of the Multi-Year Tariff of IESCO, FESCO, and LESCO for the FY 2015-16 to FY 2019-20.

The notified determination had provided for a mechanism for periodic adjustment in certain components of the tariff.

To follow up on that, IESCO and FESCO have filed their requests for adjustment on account of Power Purchase Price (PPP), indexation of Distribution Margin Components and Prior Period adjustments, in line with the notified tariff.

LESCO, however, filed its request to the extent of adjustment on account of Power Purchase Price (PPP) only.

Since the impact of any such adjustment is to be passed on to consumers, the Authority (NEPRA) on the matter considered it appropriate to conduct a hearing n the matter at 11:00 am, July 31, 2018 (Tuesday) at the NEPRA Tower.

All interested and affected parties have been invited to attend the hearing and file any written comments or objections as permissible under the law.
