Govt will prepare a 3-year roadmap of tariff rationalization

July 27, 2020 (MLN): The Advisor to the Prime Minister on Commerce and Investment, Abdul Razak Dawood, said that the government will start discussions with stakeholders to develop a 3-year roadmap for tariff rationalization for export-led industrialization in the month of August.
Taking his Twitter handle, he said, the process will soon start after the Eid Break which was decided in a meeting at the Ministry of Commerce. He further said that initially, govt will begin by examining the Iron & Steel, Plastics, Engineering, Pharma, Chemicals and Textile sectors.
‘I look forward to interactive sessions with all stakeholders in order to prepare a constructive roadmap to develop our export-led ‘Make in Pakistan’ program’, he added.
