April 21, 2025 (MLN): Gold price in Pakistan surged to a historic high on Monday, with 24-karat gold being sold at Rs357,800 per tola, marking an increase of Rs8,100.

Similarly, 24-karat gold per 10-gram was sold at Rs306,755 after a gain of Rs6,944, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of 22-karat gold was also quoted higher at Rs281,202 per 10-gram.

Similarly, silver prices rose in the domestic market, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs3,441 per tola (+Rs24) and Rs2,950 per 10-gram (+Rs21).

Globally, spot gold traded near $3,315 an ounce, up $1.2 or 0.04% from the previous session.

Gold prices hit fresh highs as uncertainty around US president Donald Trump's tariffs continued to buoy demand.
