Gold rises to Rs109,100 per tola

August 12, 2021 (MLN): Gold price rallied on Thursday in international markets as it surged by $15 to reach $1,752 an ounce as fears about higher interest rates eased after a slight increase in US Consumer prices that helped non-interest-bearing assets. Moreover, a subdued dollar and US bond yields also supportted yellow metal.

The other precious metal, silver was traded at $23.45 an ounce.

Following the same, the gold rates also rose in the local bullion market as the price of per 24-karat per tola gold observed an increase of Rs800 to stand at Rs109,100 per tola against its sale at Rs108,300 per tola the previous day.

Likewise, the price of 10-gram 24 karat also jumped by Rs686 and was sold at Rs93,536 while that of ten-gram 22 karat traded at Rs85,741 as per Karachi Sarafa and Jewellers Association reported.

On the other hand, the price of 24-karat silver and the price of 10-gram silver remained static at Rs1400 and Rs1200.27, respectively.
