July 23, 2020 (MLN): Gold prices in Pakistan hit an all-time high on Thursday as investors’ appetite for safe-haven significantly increased. The price of 24 Karat-Gold surged by Rs 2,300 to Rs 117,300 per tola in the local market. The valuable yellow metal had closed at Rs 115,000 per tola on the previous trading day. 

According to the Karachi Sarafa Association, the price of 10-gram gold also gained by Rs 1,972 to settle at Rs 100,566 against Rs 98,594 on the last trading day.

Similarly, the 24 Karat- Silver also witnessed an increase of Rs 30 to close at Rs 1,350 per tola.  Moreover, 10-gram silver gained Rs 25.70 to amount at Rs 1157.40.

In the international market, gold prices reached $1,882 an ounce, up by $26 while silver was pegged at $23 per ounce.
