Gold gains by Rs 700 per tola, silver remains flat

July 01, 2020 (MLN): Following the upward momentum, the gold market rallied as the demand for safe-haven jumped today as well. The price of 24 karat-gold jumped by Rs 700 to Rs 105,200 per tola in the local market. The valuable yellow metal had closed at Rs 104,500 per tola on the previous trading day.

According to the Karachi Sarafa Association, the price of 10-gram gold also gained Rs 600 to settle at Rs 90,192 against Rs 89,592 on the last trading day.

On the other hand, the silver prices remained flat at Rs 1,050 per tola. Similarly, 10-gram silver stayed stagnant at Rs 900.20.

In the international market, gold prices ticked up by $12 to $ 1,782 per ounce when compared to $1,770 while silver was pegged at $18.22 per ounce.
