FATF to decide on Pakistan’s Action Plan on Friday 29 June next week

Financial Action Task Force is set to review Pakistan’s Action Plan and announce a decision regarding Pakistan’s inclusion in ‘black-list’ of countries that financially aid terrorism on Friday 29th of June, 2018.

While speaking to MG Link News, spokesperson for FATF informed that the meeting will begin on Monday, 25th June and will review Pakistan’s Action plan up until Friday, June 29th before announcing the decision later that day.

The Paris based international financial watchdog will convene a plenary meeting during the coming week to review Pakistan’s Action Plan aimed at mitigating money laundering and terror-financing activities in the country.

If the Draft Action Plan is rejected, the plenary committee may decide to Pakistan on the ‘black-list’ of countries that financially aid terrorism.
