Economy heading towards stabilization: SBP Governor Reza Baqir

August 16, 2019 (MLN): The economy of Pakistan has been surrounded with many problems such as rising inflation, unemployment and uncertainty but the situation is changing now and moving towards improvement, said Governor State Bank Dr. Reza Baqir on Wednesday.

While addressing the flag hoisting ceremony held at the State Bank of Pakistan to celebrate 73^rd Independence Day he said that, “I assure you that the economy is in the right direction and if we continue to work with unity and faith, we will surely achieve prosperity.”

He further said that the plan on which the economic team is working has already stabilized the economy up to some extent and on the basis of this we will achieve economic growth which will benefit the low income and middle-class groups.

While expressing hope and assuring the nation that the economy will improve, he said that, “our biggest challenge is to bring continuity in our policies and if we succeed, I have no doubt that the country’s future is bright.”
