June 24, 2025 (MLN): U.S. President Donald Trump expressed dissatisfaction with both Israel and Iran for violating a ceasefire agreement he had brokered just hours earlier, stating he was particularly unhappy with Israel.

Speaking to reporters before departing for the NATO summit in The Hague, Trump said that Israel “unloaded” immediately after agreeing to the deal.

He also claimed that Iran’s nuclear capabilities have been eliminated.

He warned Israel not to launch any further strikes on Iran, emphasizing that doing so would constitute a violation of the ceasefire he is attempting to enforce between the two nations.

Earlier, the Israeli military reported it had detected missile launches from Iran.

In response, Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz announced that Israel would respond “forcefully.”

The Israeli military stated that its defense systems were active to intercept the threat and advised the public to seek shelter and stay in protected areas until further notice.

However, Iranian state media denied any missile attacks had been launched by Iran following the ceasefire’s implementation.

The developments unfolded less than three hours after Trump declared via his Truth Social platform that the ceasefire between Iran and Israel was “NOW IN EFFECT,” urging both sides not to violate it.

The ceasefire was planned as a phased 24-hour process starting at around 0400 GMT Tuesday, with Iran to halt operations first and Israel to follow 12 hours later.

Earlier, Israel had confirmed acceptance of the U.S.-proposed “bilateral ceasefire” after 12 days of war, announcing that it had achieved all its objectives under Operation “Rising Lion.”

The Israeli government stated that it had neutralized an “immediate dual existential threat: nuclear and ballistic.”

In its statement, the Israeli government thanked President Trump and the United States for their support in eliminating the Iranian nuclear threat, while also warning that any violation of the ceasefire would be met with a forceful response.
