September passenger car sales fall 7%MoM

October 12, 2022 (MLN): Sales of passenger cars nosedived by 7%MoM to 10,953 units in September compared to 11,645 units in August, latest data released by the Pakistan Automobile Manufacturers Association (PAMA) showed on Wednesday.
On a year-on-year basis, passenger car sales declined by 51% compared to 22,241 units sold in the same period last year.
Sales of tractors, three-wheelers and motorcycles tumbled by 46%MoM, 72%MoM and 6%MoM to 2,149, 474, and 94,532 units respectively.
Company wise, sales of Indus, Honda, Hyundai, and Millat Tractors declined by 32%MoM, 29%MoM, and 50%MoM to 2,617, 1,280, and 967 units respectively. Meanwhile, those of Suzuki and Al-Ghazi Tractors increased by 52%MoM and 6%MoM to 6,006 and 1,511 units.
