Govt paying special attention on promotion of dairy industry: President

April 20, 2021: President Dr Arif Alvi says the government is paying special attention to promotion of the dairy industry for growth in GDP, food security and poverty alleviation.

Talking to a delegation from the dairy industry in Islamabad on Monday, he emphasized on developing the dairy industry on modern lines.

President stressed the need for promoting the dairy industry for creating employment opportunities and earning foreign exchange reserves.

He said the dairy industry has played an important role in strengthening the national economy.

Dr Arif Alvi said the people associated with the dairy industry should be skilled and made aware of modern techniques.

The President assured the government's cooperation to the producers and processors from the dairy industry for a favourable environment.

He asked the stakeholders to prepare a national strategy and future policy for the promotion of the dairy sector.
